Goat brain fry recipe

Wash the brains well. Pour enough water in a pan and place the brains in them. Make sure the brains are fully inside of water.

Cook until the brain gets soft – you will need to cook in medium flame for about 15 minutes.

The brain will change to pale colour – that’s when it is cooked. Also check and make sure its cooked well using a spoon.

Switch off the flame, drain the water and let it cool down.

Once cooled, cut the brain into cubes as shown in the video. Don’t make very small pieces as the brain will then become pasty upon cooking further.

Now, warm oil in a kadai and add pepper, turmeric powder and salt. Give a stir for a few seconds – make sure you don’t burn the spices.

Now drop in the brain pieces and give a good gentle mix.

Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes. Don’t stir too much as the pieces will break.

Garnish with some coriander leaves and enjoy while it is warm.
