Want to bake cake? A Mug cake? A bowl cake?

Well you can get your kids excited about the cake and let them eat it too, in about 12 minutes.

Here’s a super simple recipe for a compact mug/bowl cake that you’ll absolutely love.

Ingredients for eggless mug cake / bowl cake

Maida – 3 tablespoons

Sugar – 3 tablespoons

Cocoa powder – 2 tablespoons

Salt – a pinch

Baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon

Cinnamon powder or vanilla essence, or maple syrup, or honey – 1/4 tablespoon

Melted butter – 2 tablespoons

Milk – 6 tablespoons

Oil – 1 tablespoon

Choco chips / chocolate bits (optional) – a few

Recipe for eggless mug cake / bowl cake

In a mixing bowl, add 3 tablespoons maida, 3 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, a pinch of salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/4 tablespoon cinnamon powder (or vanilla essence, or maple syrup, or honey – as per your preference) and mix well.

Once mixed well, add 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 of the milk, 1 tablespoon cooking oil and mix again.

Now add the remaining milk and mix well without lumps.

Pat and add a few bits of choco chips if adding them.

Add 1/2 cup water in a wide bottomed pan. Place a plate over the water and place the bowl over the plate as shown in the video.

Cover and cook in low flame (SIM) for 10 minutes.

Your mug cake / bowl cake is ready. Enjoy warm or cold as per you preference.
